The Blues for Veterans Association sponsors an "Afternoon of Music" for our Veterans, their families and staff. The photos are from our visits to: The Edith Norse Rogers Memorial Veterans Hospital in Bedford, MA and The Soldiers' Home in Chelsea, MA.
William Shuttleworth, an Air Force Veteran, accepts donation to VETS DON"T FORGET VETS. His walk across America (Newburyport, MA to San Diego, CA) was to raise awareness and to support Veterans' legislation, policy and advocacy. William was a clinician during the VietNam War working with returning POWs. He continues to fight for mental health issues of our Veterans. Festival 2019
Blues for Veterans Association donates $5000 to Friends of Woburn Veterans at “A Night of Blues”. BVA members Neil Connelly, Jennifer Murray, Bill Murray, Mike Dever and John Queen were on hand to present the donation to the Friends of Woburn Veterans members VSO Larry Guiseppe, Kathy Lucero, and Tom Quigley. The Blues for Veterans Association supports Our Veterans and the organizations that help them. The 6th Annual Library Park Blues Festival will be held on Saturday September 15, 2018.
Blues For Veterans Association makes donation to the Service Dog Project at A Night Of Blues. The Service Dog Project (SDP) provides Great Danes and their training to be used as service dogs. Each dog receives extensive training for balance and mobility and provides valuable service and enhances the quality of life for their partner. Preference is given to Veterans and their families.

Blues for Veterans Association donates $1,000 for “Hugs for Lizbeth”. Lizbeth is a Veteran, a Teacher and a Mother of two with Huntington's Disease, a progressive, incurable genetic disorder. The donation was presented during “A Night of Blues” at the George A. Campbell American Legion Post 101. This donation will be utilized to provide craft kits for the almost 400 inPatient Veterans cared for at the Edith Nourse Rogers Memorial VA Medical Center in Bedford.
The use of these craft kits by Patients enables the Rehabilitation Medicine staff to properly assess the skills and abilities of the Patients. We will be able to fund the craft program for approximately the next 6 months.

Members of the Blues for Veterans Association – Library Park Blues Festival Committee assembled at “A Night of Blues” recently to present a donation to the American Legion Department Commander, Bill Chisholm, earmarked for the “Operation Comfort Warriors” program. The donation is part of the proceeds from the First Annual Library Park Blues Festival that was held in August 2013.
